If you have not already, please email us at ONSsponsorships@smithbucklin.com to let us know how you plan to deliver your symposium based on the following options:

  1. Pre-Record in ON24 (ONS Conference platform) – training and support will be provided.

  2. Pre-Record in your own platform and provide an MP4 file to ONS.

  3. Live Presentation in ON24 (ONS Conference platform) – training and support will be provided.

  4. Live Presentation in your own platform and provide a link to ONS to post on your session page for attendees to access.


Similar to the in-person event, we ask that you please complete our Online Event Write-Up by Friday, March 5th. The information submitted as part of the write-up will be used to list and promote your event online and within the ONS Virtual Congress platform. 

 

As part of your symposium, you will receive the following promotional benefits. Also outlined are the accompanying specs and deadlines needed to fulfill each added promotional benefit. ALL promotional benefits included with this event package are required to promote your symposium at ONS Congress. These benefits cannot be used for other promotional activities (corporate, product, etc).

Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have additional questions or concerns about ONS Congress, we encourage you to contact us at ONSSponsorships@smithbucklin.com.

 

What platform is ONS using for ONS Congress Symposia and Product Theater Presentations?
ONS is partnering with ON24 for virtual Symposia and Product Theater Presentations, along with all ONS produced sessions.

What options do I have for recording or presenting my session live?
Based on your needs, there are several options for presenting your session. When you receive your events confirmation we will ask you to confirm your preference so we can schedule the appropriate trainings.

  • Pre-record in ON24

  • Pre-record in your own platform and provide an MP4 file to ONS

  • Live presentation in ON24

  • Live presentation in your own platform and provide a link to ONS which will be posted on your session page for attendees to access

When will training take place?

A walk through of the ON24 platform will take place in early March. Training will be targeted to your session type (live or pre-recorded). If you’d like to get a feel for the platform in the meantime we recommend reviewing the ONS Bridge (September 2020) training sessions found on this page.

If we are pre-recording our session when will the recording be scheduled?

We will provide the pre-recording scheduling tool in March. Session recordings will need to be complete by April 9.

 

Do I need to display a disclaimer?
Yes, the below disclaimer should be shown at the beginning of your presentation for 15-30 seconds. 


"A presentation timeslot has been assigned to provide a Symposia/Theater Presentation (please update depending on your event type) supported by (Company Name) during the Oncology Nursing Society’s (ONS) Congress Virtual Event. The Oncology Nursing Society's assignment of a presentation timeslot does not imply product endorsement."


Can we include time for Q&A as part of our session?
Yes, please note that Q&A must be part of your 60 minute timeframe for Symposia and 45 minute timeframe for Product Theaters. Whether you pre-record or present live you can have your speaker(s) available for questions after the session. Attendees will submit questions via the Q&A box. Your speaker(s) can respond via text or audio.

Does ON24 have polling capabilities?
Yes, questions have a 1200 character limit. Response types include: multi choice (single answer), multi choice (multi answer), or free response. Answers have a 256 character limit. ONS event staff will work with you to set up your poll as part of the system training. You are also allowed to incorporate your own ARS system if you prefer.

Do we need to submit slides beforehand?
Yes, slides must be received at least three days in advance for pre-recorded sessions and at least one week in advance for live sessions. We will upload to the system. Your speakers will be able to advance slides on their own.

When will the session recording be available?  What format does the recording come in?
Please allow 24 hours for the session recording download. The file format will be MP4.

How are NCPDs handled?
Similar to past events, all evaluations and certificates related to NCPDs will be handled by the sponsoring company. Please contact us if you need additional details on session reporting. We ask that you provide us  instructions for receiving NCPDs to include on your session page to avoid questions or confusion from attendees.

Do attendees have to pre-register for our session?
ONS Congress attendees do not have to pre-register for sessions. Similar to previous events, if you want to collect attendee information prior to your session you can provide a registration link in your online event write-up submission which will be posted to the ONS Congress website. Otherwise, reporting will be available after your session.

Is there a session capacity limit?
If you present your session live there is a capacity limit of 1,000 attendees.

Can we provide links or hand-outs?
Yes, please let us know if you need to share PDFs or URLs and we can set those up on your session page.

What information is included in the session reports?
You will receive a link to your reporting dashboard that will give you access to your session reports for live and on-demand sessions (if applicable). Reports will include attendee name, email, company and the number of minutes they spent in the session. These are downloadable to excel.

Symposia Only: How does the optional food and beverage credit work?

ONS will provide a gift card for breakfast or dinner credit post conference. The first 100 registrants to each symposia will receive a $20 credit to redeem a gift card of their choice from selected restaurant vendors on Tremendous.com. Sponsor to manage pre-registration and provide registration list. ONS will compare pre-registrant list with attendee list to confirm attendance. ONS will e-mail the $20 food gift card to the first 100 attendees within two weeks after the symposia, acknowledging the sponsor and attendance at symposia. In the case sponsor does not manage pre-registration, ONS will send gift card to 100 attendees chosen randomly from final attendee list. If you would like to take advantage of this optional benefit, please notify our team by March 5 so we can arrange accordingly.

Do our speakers need to share their screen in order to display their slides?

No, slides will be uploaded into ON24 for speakers to present from.
 

When will the Attendee Registration list be made available?

The attendee list will be provided to sponsoring companies two weeks post-show.
 

How long will ONS host on demand content post-event?

Content will be available to attendees on demand 30 days post-show. 
 

Can we use the ONS Congress name in our email subject lines to help market the event?

Yes, however the ONS Disclaimer (see posted on this page) must be included in the body of the email
